macOS specific issues

Random Session disconnects with CWA for Mac 2203

Resolved on May 2022 by upgrading to new version 2204 or higher

CWA for Mac will disconnect a session at random. Auto connect-back will also fail.
SSL connection error - "status 43" will be reported in Citrix Viewer logs

Cursor issues on mac OS with CWA 2112

Resolved on January 2022 by upgrading to new version 2201

With CWA 2112, the cursor on the MAC, some time to time, may disapear.

  • you need to disconnect and reconnect from your citrix session to get it.
  • Issue resolved by updating the CWA 2201 (22.01.0.23)

Skype issues mac OS Big Sur (11.0.1) issue

Resolved on 15 Februray 2021 by upgrading to new version of Citrix HDX media Engine 2.9 CU3 on the macOS

  • On Skype for Business, incoming video is not visible on macOS Big Sur (11.0.1).
    • Skype issue on Big Sur
  • issue on the plugin Citrix HDX Media software.

Smartcard tools Big Sur issue

Resolved on January 2021 by upgrading to new version of Safenet package

  • Safenet product from Gemalto 10.2.97.0
  • user can login to smartcard, but when the app start there is a popup issue.
    • smartcard issue on Big Sur
  • user is unable to use the Safenet tools
  • possibly user won't be able interact/edit/check the smartcard
  • worst case scenario user won't be able to unlock the smartcard outside the bank on his BYOD.

Windows 10 Specific issues

Smartcard default windows driver not working

CLOSED, in February 2021, more than 1 month without relevant incident

  • If you have a NEW builded machine from zero with the newly Windows 10 version 1909 build version 19041, the smartcard is no working with the default Microsoft drivers, until you install Safenet Software
  • What it mean:
    • add more complexity on the windows setup
    • usually the safenet tools are deployed on BYOD device only for debug, or in rare case it was not working fine with the standard smartcard drivers
    • need to fully support and send campaing of safenet update on BYOD 😒
    • any 1909 previoulsy build but simply upgraded is not affected
